BMW has expanded its electric portfolio with the introduction of the CE 02 electric scooter, designed to be more accessible and suitable for city streets than its sibling, the CE 04. With a starting price of $7,599 (approximately INR 6.28 lakh), the CE 02 offers a compact and lightweight profile, making it an ideal choice for urban commuting. The CE 02 comes equipped with a 3.5-inch micro TFT screen that provides riders with essential information and can be paired with the BMW Motorrad Connected app for added connectivity features. LED headlights, USD front forks, a single-piece flat seat, raised handlebars, and sporty rear-view mirrors contribute to the scooter’s distinctive appearance and comfortable riding stance.
Underneath its unique exterior, the CE 02 features a double loop steel frame with an adjustable rear shock absorber and 14-inch wheels, ensuring stability and agility on city streets. It employs a belt-drive system and is equipped with disc brakes and ABS on the front wheel for enhanced safety.
Riders have the option to choose between a single or dual battery pack configuration, each with a 2 kWh capacity. Charging can be done with a standard 0.9 kW charger or an optional 1.5 kW fast charger, with the dual-battery version requiring 5 hours and 12 minutes for a full charge using the standard charger.
The CE 02 offers ride modes called Surf and Flow, and the Highline trim adds an extra Flash mode along with exclusive features like a special color scheme, backend connectivity, an external quick charger, heated grips, and a highly integrated SP Connect smartphone holder.
