Ultraviolette Automotive, backed by TVS Motors, has unveiled their electric wonder – the F77 electric sportsbike. The base model, Shadow, starts at just INR 3.8 lakh. Deliveries in Bengaluru begin January 2023, soon expanding to other major Indian cities. With an impressive certified range of 307 km on a single charge, the F77 breaks records as India’s longest-range electric two-wheeler.

The F77 lineup offers three variants. The Laser version is priced at INR 4.55 lakh, while the top-tier Airstrike model comes in at INR 5.5 lakh. Including insurance and taxes, the Airstrike’s on-road price is around INR 6 lakh, while the Shadow variant hovers slightly above INR 4 lakh on-road.

Performance is stellar across the board. The Airstrike features a 40.4 Bhp and 100 Nm electric motor, clocking 0 to 100 kmph in 7.8 seconds and maxing out at 152 kmph. The Laser trim boasts 38.9 Bhp and 95 Nm, reaching 0 to 100 kmph in 8 seconds with a top speed of 147 kmph. The entry-level Shadow yields 36.2 Bhp and 85 Nm, cruising at 140 kmph and accelerating from 0 to 60 kmph and 0 to 100 kmph in 3.4 seconds and 8.3 seconds, respectively.

All three variants offer 3 regenerative braking levels, reverse gear with park assist, and 3 riding modes: Glide, Combat, and Ballistic. A 10.5 kWh battery capacity, the highest among Indian electric two-wheelers, fuels these bikes. Official figures state the Shadow covers 206 km per charge, while the Laser and Airstrike models reach 307 km. However, real-world estimates are around 140 km and 200 km per charge for the Shadow and higher trims.

Equipment-wise, the F77 line packs active cooling for the battery pack, LED headlamp, tail lamp, turn indicators, upside-down front forks, adjustable monoshock rear suspension, disc brakes on both wheels, and dual-channel ABS. Ultraviolette Automotive plans to kick off production with 10,000 units of the F77 in the first year, prioritizing top-notch quality and customer care. Production could expand based on demand and potential international ventures, including the European market.
