Ather Energy, the Indian electric scooter manufacturer, has unveiled three new electric scooter models to enhance its portfolio. These models include the Ather 450S, Ather 450X with a 2.9 kWh battery, and the Ather 450X with a 3.7 kWh battery. Here are the key details:
1. Ather 450S Launch
- Price: Rs. 1,29,999 (ex-showroom)
- Features: The Ather 450S boasts India’s first DeepView Display, new switchgear, FallSafe feature, ESS (Emergency Stop Signal), and coasting regeneration for up to a 7% increase in range.
- Range: Up to 115 km on a single charge.
- Performance: Accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 90 km/h.
- Pro Pack: Available at an additional cost of Rs. 14,000, offering various features.
2. Ather 450X (2.9 kWh) and Ather 450X (3.7 kWh)
- Features: Both models receive updates, including the new switchgear, FallSafe, ESS, and coasting regeneration.
- Range: The 2.9 kWh model offers a range of 115 km, while the 3.7 kWh model extends the range to 145 km.
- Pro Pack: Available for Rs. 16,000 (2.9 kWh model) and Rs. 23,000 (3.7 kWh model), providing additional features.
3. Enhanced Features
- DeepView Display: A high-contrast display with auto-brightness and onboard navigation.
- FallSafe: Detects potential falls and turns off the motor to prevent accidents.
- Emergency Stop Signal (ESS): Activates indicators during panic braking situations.
- Coasting Regeneration: Available in the Ather 450S, providing 7% more range through energy recuperation.
- New Switchgear: Offers an interactive experience, including one-click reverse and a joystick.
- Inbox to Scooter: Displays destination addresses from messaging apps.
- Trip Planner: Improved trip suggestions for optimal routes.
- Charging Stations: Ather boasts 1400+ charging stations across India.
4. Delivery Schedule
- Deliveries for the Ather 450X with a 2.9 kWh battery will begin in the third week of August.
- Ather 450S deliveries are expected by the last week of August.
- The Ather 450X with a 3.7 kWh battery will be delivered starting in October.
